Nuchal Translucency (NT) Scan

Nuchal Translucency (NT) is a sonographic appearance of a normal collection of fluid under the skin behind the baby’s neck in the first trimester of pregnancy.
 
NT evaluation and measurement is an important screening for chromosomal abnormalities (including Down Syndrome) and other anomalies, in particular congenital heart defects.
 
NT evaluation can be performed at 11weeks to 13weeks 6days of pregnancy.
