- Pancreas, aorta, hepatobiliary tree, kidneys and spleen.
Preparation:
- Wear loose, comfortable shirt or clothing. Fast at least 8 hours before scanning. Only clear oral fluid is allowed.
Aim:
- To determine the underlying cause of pain over abdomen, flank and / or back, abdominal swelling and mass, abnormal blood tests of liver and kidney function, high cholesterol. In addition, to follow up on previously known abdominal conditions and look for possible metastasis in a cancer patient.
